From the Golden Hands Fashion Handicrafts book. Again.
I hope the ventilation is good in this bathroom. But then, the pattern and colour of the decor would hide any mould growing. Imagine what that fluffy carpet, or is it a rug, holds in the festy mould department. I am wary of mould for some reason.
I like this pattern, just not the colours. I sort of fancy one of those very ornamental soap holders. It would look totally out of whack in my bathroom, which would be a bit interesting.
Do you find this very homogenous? All same same? I did see a bedroom like this once, in the taxi driver's attached residence in Charters Towers. He was immensely proud of this room. Even at the tender age of 15 I did not like it, but had the wherewithal to admire this fancy bedroom that opened straight off the taxi phone office! You could leap out of bed to answer a call. Truly.
Mould freaks me out too. I picture it growing in my throat or something and choking me??? Weird ( and I'm not asthmatic or anything).
Wallpaper...oh crikey. One of the work chums was looking at a Home Beautiful or something at our tea break yesterday and there was a big wallpaper feature. Wallpaper is BACK.Yeah, right, not in my world.

Don't worry about the hideous wallpaper and bed covering, what were you doing in the Taxi Drivers bedroom at 15

Hmmm, my grandparents had nice fluffyish carpet on the floor of their bathroom, of the home where they had three kids. Strangely it never seemed dirty or mouldy. It felt luxurious to hop out of their very deep bath onto nice green carpet. Carpet would of course quickly become disgusting in a bathroom in my own house so I need to ask my mother why it was so clean and lovely.
I love all 60s / 70s wallpaper but this could be because I'm too young has lived with it the first time around.
It's really hard to decide which old craft books to send back to the oppy in a clean out, I admire what you're doing!!!

Its not obvious, your grandparents are not quite expert in home decorating to think that this room really looks well-organized and elegant in its unique way.
