A surprise visit from Linsey, always good. Weekend trip to Bairnsdale to catch up with her boyfriend, with family thrown in. She and her boy went to the Tip Shop for a look around and Linsey bought a really great folding bike and L got a manual pottery wheel. How about that!
What a splendid find, really and truly. I mean, look at it. It's had the once over by Mr fiveandtwo and all it needs is a bit of lubricant and a bit of spoke tightening. The tyres are even in good condition. Cosseted in someone's shed for goodness knows how long. Linsey cycles everywhere on her current bike but you can take a folding bike on trams, apparently. And look at that girl: black socks with silver Jelly sandals. Ha, she is the cool person I wanted to be in my 20's. Vicariously, I access it now (via Linsey).
In other news, I'll be ordering a new stove soon. All gas, freestanding, 600mm to slot into the existing space. The one I've had for the last 15 years has been great, but those oven door problems of the last 2 years continue: it won't close, sometimes with a jiggle jaggle it will, sometimes the door falls off instead. What happens is random. Mr fiveandtwo has fiddled and repaired many times. Now I have a tax refund and I am getting a stove. Today we went to Traralgon to the "big shops" to look at what they had (after casing the 'dale) and I've settled on a Smeg all gas freestanding 600mm stove. I will go to a local shop on Monday, I'm sure they'll get one for me. I have the model number etc. Failing that I'll have to buy from the shop in Traralgon. Hmm, don't want to.
Local is good.
Ooh, you'll be cooking up a storm in the near future then!
