I grow strawberries. They aren't very productive, really. This year, with lots of rain, I've harvested the most strawberries ever. No, it's more "who spies the ripe one first gets to eat it". I doubt I'll ever make a jar of jam from the crop. Actually, the crop never makes it to the kitchen (except for photography, and then they're promptly eaten).
They're very yummy, very sweet and intensely strawberry.
How do people grow enough for jam if they don't have a paddock full of plants?
I'm amazed at how intense our starawberries taste. I'm growing them in a wicking bed and I'm getting lots.

I have the same problem lol, mine never make it into the house either....I was so hoping to be able to produce a single jar of jam at least lol.

Every single last one of mine this year has been eaten by birds. A friend realised yesterday that her dog has taken a fancy to blueberries, another friend discovered her dog was eating the raspberries, but there's only so much of the garden you can net or fence off.
