For some reason, I decided to grow Queensland Blue pumpkins on a trellis, on the side of the shed. Queensland Blues are large...and heavy.
Fortunately there's another door to the shed. Unfortunately the weight of this one has pulled the climbing rose down.
That green mass against the shed is choko vine, pumpkin, vine and climbing rose, all tumbled down. The tomatoes were blown down in strong winds the other day.
Gardening is a good job for a long weekend but I'm going away to sew. Yay, craft camp! Garden will have to wait.
Yes - Yay craft camp!!!
Your garden looks very lush!

Well, if you don't grow them on a trellis they spread like alien plants on Doctor Who along the ground and cover everything! I can understand the logic, maybe you didn't think it quite through though?
See you on Saturday x

you can always use pantyhose to support the pumpkins on the trellis whilst they are growing, pantyhose are strong and expand with the pumpkins, you just tie the legs close to the body part, put the baby pumpkins in the body part, pull the legs up and tie loosely before tying the leg ends to the trellis so it cradles the pumpkin you'll need 2 pair to give you 4 ties
